FAQ — Ishld

Question 1

What exactly is Ishld?

Accepted Answer

Ishld is a patent-pending mechanical device that attaches to the temple arms of your existing glasses. Using a rotational fulcrum mechanism, it slowly rotates your eyewear away from your face — lifting the frame clear of your nose, cheeks, and skin — then locks it in a stable, elevated position. You see clearly. You feel nothing.

Question 2

How does the rotational fulcrum work?

Accepted Answer

The fulcrum clips onto the temple arms of your glasses. When activated, it initiates a controlled rotation along the natural arc of the arms — easing the frame away from your face without touching the lenses. Once the frame reaches the optimal position, it locks in place. The motion is smooth, repeatable, and requires no adjustment after the initial setup.

Question 3

Does Ishld touch the lenses?

Accepted Answer

No. Ishld attaches exclusively to the temple arms — the parts that extend behind your ears. It never contacts the lenses, the bridge, or the nose pads. Your lenses remain completely untouched.

Question 4

What problems does Ishld solve?

Accepted Answer

Ishld addresses four problems that glasses wearers accept as normal: (1) Eye strain from variable focal distance — Ishld holds your eyewear at a fixed, optimal distance. (2) Nasal obstruction — no frame resting on your nose means fully unobstructed airflow. (3) Raccoon-eye marks — the dark impressions left by nose pad pressure are eliminated entirely. (4) Frame weight — Ishld removes all load from your nose and face.

Question 5

Will Ishld work with my glasses?

Accepted Answer

Ishld is designed to work with the vast majority of standard eyewear frames. It attaches to the temple arms, so as long as your frames have standard-width arms, Ishld should be compatible. During your demo, we'll confirm compatibility with your specific frames.

Question 6

Does it work with prescription glasses?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ishld is frame-agnostic — it works with prescription glasses, reading glasses, sunglasses, and most other standard eyewear. The mechanism attaches to the arms, not the lenses, so your prescription is unaffected.

Question 7

What about rimless or semi-rimless frames?

Accepted Answer

Compatibility with rimless and semi-rimless frames depends on the specific arm construction. We'll assess this during your demo. If your frames aren't compatible, we'll let you know upfront.

Question 8

Does Ishld work with contact lenses?

Accepted Answer

Ishld is designed for use with eyeglass frames. If you wear contact lenses, Ishld isn't applicable — it's built specifically to improve the experience of wearing glasses.
